Tomorrow I begin prepping the hull for the fiberglass work. By the end of the day I plan to have it back on the trailer and ready for the hole patching phase.

I already have my glass cloth. I will be ordering the rest of my supplies on Monday.

I think I will need materials that will allow me to wet-out my glass, make peanut butter, and make a sandable filler. I have a 14' boat with no stringers. I have estimated that I will need the following. I'll be glassing in a new deck and making some other repairs. If you think I've over/underestimated any of these materials please let me know. I'd rather have to order more of something than have a lot left over.

2 Gallons of 635 Epoxy Resin w/medium hardner 104.00
5 Quarts of Cabosil 7.25
5 Quarts of Glass Bubbles 9.75
4lbs. of 1/4" chopped fibers 11.50

I will also be purchasing a roller. If you could only own one roller which size would you choose?

**Also I will need some 2 part foam. I have no idea how much I'll need. Maybe I can get a volume estimate once I get her back on the trailer.

Foam, days later, after everything has set.
beer and sandwiches, as you will have no time to fart around.

I'm thinking about doing the foam after the leak test but before the deck goes in. If I cut a piece of scrap plywood and cover it in plastic (so it won't stick). I think I can pour the foam in sections moving the scrap piece as each section is poured. I've never worked with the stuff before and I'm concerned about it popping my deck off or having voids that I can't see.

These 3 channels need to be filled. It's very shallow at the stern and gets deeper and deeper towards the bow.

And yes there will be beer or sweet tea, which ever I'm in the mood for.:D

sweet tea, with real sugar, a good southern boy. or you could pour your foam, and trim off the top, before you do the deck.
