Max life motor oil

Is the oil put in marine motor any different than auto oil. I was thinking about running max life in my mercruiser. I have had good luck with it helping the seals in my truck.

Mercruiser has recommendations and specs for the oil that should be used in your Mercruiser engine.
If you don't want to follow those recommendations, then use whatever you want. Every type of oil know to man has been used in them and is recommended by someone, someplace at sometime.
