Max RPM for 02 150HPDI

Title says it all! Boat dealer told me 5500-6000, and said it would cut out at 6200, but the thing revs to nearly 7000 so either he is wrong (and I need a new prop!) or my tach sucks (ugh!).

cant remember if the HPDI had a rev limiter then, I can tell you for a stone fact the operating range is 4500-5500.
may be time to find a dealer that has yamaha school certs on the wall or simply consult the owners manual.
