To All:
Can anyone tell me where I can get a Mayfair bilge pump that has 3 wires? I can't seem to find one. West Marine doesn't have them and all the ones I find on the internet have 2 wires.

My boat has a switch on the dash and the bilge pump has an automatic float switch. But the pump has 2 brown wires and 1 black.

All I really need is the replacement cartridge. If anyone knows definitavely where I can get one, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
Clark

ALL:
I think I just answered my own post, so I will provide the info I just found out. I called Johnson pumps (847-671-7867 in case anyone is interested) and they don't make the 3 wire pumps anymore. The 2 wire is sufficient. Therefore, I just have to figure out the correct schematic between the dash switch, the float switch, the pump and the battery. But, thanks to other posts on here, I already have that diagram that someone else provided.

Thanks

ps, this forum is great, such a smorgashboard of good information.

ha! i ran into the same problem sorta. previous owner must have replaced 3 wire with a 2 wire and wired it wrong. to fix it he "hot wired" the A/B battery switch so one battery was always hot even on off. ok great the float switch worked but leave another switch on by accident and damn dead battery. from these forums i learned the proper way to wire everything up easy peasy. gotta love this place! :D
