Hey everyone. Been busy doing a complete rehab on my 1750 Bayliner Capri Bowrider. I swapped out the ford for a Mercruiser 120 and MC-1 drive. Since I am building a custome centre console for this one I will be looking for new controls and steering setup. I love the look of the dual controls for shift and throttle. Any suggestions on which models will work for my setup? Also since it is a center console build what would be my best steering setup? I will be adding chasers to the hull under the deck to the stern.

Thanks in advance :)

Sea Star has several steering set ups that will work. For a center console I prefer a rotary style which is easier to “clock” the cable outlet. You will need a “hybrid” style set of control cables which have the 3300 style connection for the control box and the other end with the Mercruiser connections. These are available at any large Marine supply outlet. If you cannot locate those type then just use the Morse-Teleflex style 3300 and add the Mercruiser style 33C adapter kit. Marpac makes an inexpensive control for under $200.00 and you must add a neutral safety start switch kit .
