Good Morning everyone,

Hoping you might be able to help me out. I want to drill my holes through my transom today as well as steering relief holes. I am not sure what size to drill for either... Could someone help me out?

Thanks all :)

Thanks. That’s what size I got. The transom template holes are 1/2”. I figured I would drill oversize, fill with PB, re drill to 1/2” and use 5200 when I install the bolts. Does this sound right?

Nope,..... No 5200,..... If the transom ever had to come off,............ it Won't,.......

I drill the holes 1/2", 'n use a new fresh Merc transom gasket,.....

FisherDan Thanks for that. I checked and my old gasket measured 1.250. I will get a new one for sure when I get closer to putting the gimbal and transom plate back on. I also measured my transom thickness and as of now I am at 1.870” thick. I believe I need to be at least 2” for Mercruiser correct?
