Me or a Car Wash...

I take my truck to a hand car wash in the area. I know the owner pretty well. Anyway, he said that he could detail my boat but he would have to see the boat to tell me how much it would cost. The hull is in decent condition. The interior is in-tact, it's just not "clean". It's dirty to the point where it needs serious attention. <br />Do I let the car wash guys give it a go and take it from there? I mean the results will be from "professionals". Maybe they have a secret little trade trick. Thoughts...

I'd at least get a price quote. Sometimes, even though you can do it, it is better to let someone else do it if the price is right. Those detail shops have all the tricks of the trade and can usually get it done fast because they get several guys on it. This way you can get it back real clean, then maintain it yourself.
