I have a surplus FC470 with a aluminum hard deck, and want to make a bow board for it. Does anyone know if the bow board is necessary if you have the aluminum hard deck? If so, does anyone know where to get the exact measurements for building your own? I got a good deal on the boat, and can't justify paying eighteen prices to Zodiac for a new bow board. Any information/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Measurements/Blueprints for FC470 bow board

I have the hard-deck also in my FC470. I don't run a bowboard and everything is fine. I asked the same question to a "zodiac repair guy" when I first got my boat and was told that he'd make me one, and would do it from trial and error/cut and fit. I have the original rolling floor as well as the hard deck and I know that they don't use the bowboard with the rolling floor, so I'm sure it's not really required.
