OK I am at my wits end with this thing… I have a 1990 Sea Ray Sundancer that I just put a freshened up 7.4 454 motor in it. I also purchased a Holley 750 double pumper carburetor to put on it. I was able to get it running but while running for some reason it seemed to fouled the plugs out with black sooty looking substance with brand new spark plugs. So I decided to try to buy a Holley jet kit and may be re jet the carburetor but I haven’t done that yet. I really don’t know much about these carburetors so what I’m looking for is somebody that can get this thing running and running good for me. located in mid Michigan (rule #8 )

I agree you need to find a mechanic that will throw in o2 sensor in exhaust and get it jetted with correct power valve based on actual fuel /air mixture. On a side note on engine masters they showed how to tune a Holley carburetor. May be on YouTube. Very interesting and not difficult after you see video but o2 sensor with mixture reading is key.

Is the carb a marine carb? If not, besides the obvious issues, the power valve will be wrong for a boat

what are the airhorn numbers?
