Mechanical fuel Pump, marine only part?

i have a 97 5.7 mercruiser with an engine mounted mechanical fuel pump. Is this a marine only component? Or can I grab a AC Delco unit ?

Marine only. A marine pump has an extra fitting for a tube into the carb so a busted pump doesn't fill the bilge with gas. An auto pump has a vent and it makes a geyser of gas if the pump breaks. If it catches fire, it's a flamethrower.
