mecruiser 3.0 Alpha Drive 1987 oily water in boat
i have my boat at marina and go use it every weekend. the last few weekends i notice when doing my pre checks that i have a couple inches of water sitting in my bilge that was not there the week before. there is also coating of what may be grease or drive gear fluid floating on top of the water in the bilge (brownish color)
fact : water is not entering through hull plug,
im not loosing engine oil.
i try using a mirror and flahlight but cant determine how the (oily water) is entering the bilge. i want to pull the boat out this week and try and fix, but not sure what parts to even order at this point...
could this be gear oil and water entering through a bellows or are there other seals in need to look at?
