Re: mecury 90hp sport jet dealer service bullitins
Merc has an internet site called MercNet. Unfortunately it's only for dealers. The information is readily available from any dealer willing to type that serial number into the system. It'll provide a list of the bulletins that pertain, many of which will also apply to more to all of the product line that might be of little relative importance. It will also show the pertinent ones to that specific motor, and highlight any recall campaigns the motor has been subject to. It will also tell when the unit was purchased, when the warranty expired, and what warranty work (if any) has been performed.

I see your unit was never registered, so I don't know if any recall work was ever done. The customer would not have been notified because Mercury had no information regarding the purchase. That was a Dealer screw-up. The only item that red flagged was a recall campaign that may or may not have included your unit (SB 94-7). You would need the serial number of the pump. Some of the items pertain to the pump and not the motor. One had to do with putting red loctite on pivot bolt threads for the reverse gate. Another shows a locking tab that was added to the shift cable anchor bracket back by the nozzle. There's also supposed to be a rubber boot over the starter's cable stud that some boat makers apparently neglected to install.

The rest of the bulletins looked like updates and upgrades along with the usual general info stuff.
