MEFI version number for 1999 4.3GIPYBCCE?

Hi, I wanted to buy a Codemate tool so I can set the base timing and get diagnostic information from my 4.3GI. The tool supports MEFI-1 thru MEFI-4 marine EFI systems. I can't find the version in any of my repair manuals.

Probably MEFI 3 if it is 1998/9. Take the serial number and feed it to Google, also ask for manuals re. trouble shooting. Plenty out there. Even a search on this forum should come up with lots.

You do not need a code mate to set your base timing on a mefi
