MEKP all the same?

Hey guys!

I ran out of the MEKP that came with my poly resin from US Composites. I dont know how i ran out because i measured pretty closely, but im left with 2.5 gallons of resin and no MEKP.

My question is, will the MEKP sold at wal mart work the same or is the stuff made special to each batch of resin?

Reason i ask is, i tried to use some and it seems like it is taking longer for the resin to kick than it did with the US Composites supply.

As far as I know, any MEKP product will work. The chemistry behind it is all the same, and it is all Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide.

It took a lil longer but ya the resin cured with the bondo mekp. looks like im set to proceed.

There are many versions (formulas) with slightly different characteristics, but they will all work.

Ondarvr... would there be a difference in dilution? I believe the stuff we get in little bottles isn't pure MEKP, right?
