Let's take a little while today to remember the vets who didn't come back, or only partially came back. They gave their all, for their country. This is the same in any country. I think the disabled also needs our thoughts. And it never hurts to offer assistance to the families of the vets, or just the ones still over there. Thank you for your time.

Memorial Day is to honor those who died serving our country. Veterans Day honors those that served honorably durign a time of war. Heyyou325 and Pugetsound, I appreciate your comments. I'm a Vet twice over and would really feel most rewarded if people would just get it right.

We need to support our troops and their families 24x7x365.

You are right on the difference between memorial day and veterans day. Also on needing to support our troops 24 7 365 . It sometimes takes a little reminder. The , I guess you'd say semi official, standing on it now is dead and disabled. I have seen Colin Powell last night, both Bush's, Clinton, Obama, Patreaus(I probably spelled that wrong, but you know who I mean) and others stating that for several years now. Which is what my post said. With a little reminder of helping our currant families of troops over fighting. I've been on both sides, fighting, and family back home. I'd take the fighting over the not knowing. And I can't say I know any who didn't die a little over there.

Thanks for serving sschefer and heyyou325 and all who served past and present with us and not. I have always thanked a veteran for their service.....and I will always continue to do so. Because of the ones who served this country... and the ones who continue to serve this country that I can enjoy my freedom, family and time with my boating hobby. Thanks
