I have little tears where the cover makes contact with the corners of the windshield. What is the best way to mend them and reinforce the area? I am going to fix the windshield corners so they're not so sharp.

Rick, I recommend you sew some vinyl cloth on the inside of the cover over the wear points. That's the way the pros protect the cloth in those wear points. The vinyl will also repair the holes you have.

you can also use spray contact cement and not have to sew. you can put 2 or 3 layers for padding.

Thanks guys,
I didn't think of vinyl. I just happen to have some left from rebuilding my bow seats.

My cover has the vinyl at the windshield corners and other obstructions like cleats and so on. Seems to work great, I never thought of gluing it on but that would be so much easier than sewing!
