Today I purchased a 1978 Merc 1150, serial 4754100. Motor had been robbed of the fuel pump before I got it. The fuel pump assy is part number 66530A 2 (discontinued). I found a used one on EBay that I can put a kit in to replace.
This fuel pump mounts on three threaded holes in the bottom cowl of the motor. It has 2 fuel lines and a pressure and vacuum line. My problem is my manuals do not show which hose (vacuum & pressure) goes to what fitting on the fuel pump. Does anyone have a diagram of this?
Many thanks for any replies!

Thanks Jim, this is the diagram I have but it does not show which
fitting to what hose on the vacuum and pressure side. The engine has
1 fitting on the transfer cover and one fitting on the vacuum side (close to the crankshaft) on the side of the motor.:confused:

I'm not the expert by any means, but since this pump works off a diaphram action, it is possible that it doesn't matter how you hook up the vacuum an pressure hoses. The parts diagram shows the hose the same lenght. Anyway, just a thought.

I have that model fuel pump off of a 77 (same part number) that I bought for parts. If you want it, please send me an email. I'm sorry, but I didn't take any picutures of how it was hooked up before I removed it.

I do not think it matters. If memory serves me I had them hooked up to the closest hose nipples. If that doesn't work properly, switch 'em. It can only go one of two ways.
