I have cleaned all of the cables to the battery as well as the battery posts ......Any ideas out there ??????

If the lights work OK then you ground is good. Look for a dirty or loose connecting in the 12V feed. Especially the fuse.

Re: Merc. 125 Electrical Problems

Gauges are normally fed from the "A" terminal (accessory) on the ignition switch. None of the gauges will work unless +12 volt and ground is present at each gauge. Those two terminals on each gauge are connected in a daisy chain fashion from one gauge to the next. If the first gauge in the string is not properly connected the rest that follow won't work either. If some work and others don't, the gauge that follows the last one that works is where the problem is.

Thanks for the information ..... With flashlight in hand I will start with the ingition switch and check my connections. Question?? Would a defective rectifier cause some of my problems?

Re: Merc. 125 Electrical Problems

I have spent sometime cleaning and checking connections. I've check the purple wires to the gauges with a test light and it lights up. Is there a way to check the black wires to the gauges?? Are the black wires ground??
