Merc 135 carb question

I have a 1988 Merc V135 outboard. It has the WH35 carbs on it. I ran the fuel out at the end of last season but am having a problem with fuel running out of 1 side's squirter(for lack of other term) in the center carb. I've tried spraying gumout in the carb and the various passages that I can access with it still mounted.

I assume that a removal and rebuild are in order. When searching for a kit, I see that there is no listing for anything other a gasket kit for the V135 WH35 but on the V150 also equipped with the WH35, there is a kit available with needles and seats. (kit #1136) OE# 1395-6452. Does my 135 not have the same needles and seats as the 150 with the same carb model#? Can I benefit from or even use the 150 kit? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Merc 135 carb question

try tapping on the side of the fill bowl gently
with but end of screwdriver. sounds like you have
a stuck float. sorry, don't know if kits interchange.

Re: Merc 135 carb question

Thanks for the info. I have tried the screwdriver trick to no avail. I have not even been able to find a listing for a float for this carb. I didn't know if it may utilize some sort of float alternative??!!?
