hi, hoping for some ideas here, my boat was working fine last fall but i tried to start her up last week first time since last year and she won't start. turns over great, getting fuel but don't seem to have any spark on the plugs that i can see when i remove one and turn her over. there is 12 volts plus at the pos terminal of the condensor. is there any fuses i don;t know about that could cause this? the condensor is fairly new (couple of years) and i tried an old one i had and still no good. by coincidence (or not) i installed a small electrical panel last year with six switches for wiper, bilge, blower, etc. it was a cheap one i got online and i have noticed that a number of the switched have stopped working. if i bypass the switch the accesory works fine but not thru the switch. any chance this could cause the problem? also my tach hasn't been working properly for a couple of years, barely showing ant revs even when going fast. i read somewhere that the engine won't start if the tach don't work, is this true? anty ideas would be greatly appreciated.
