I am hoping some of the more experienced Mercury folks out there can summarize the difference (if any) in the 2001 Merc 50HP 4 Stroke EFI engines, as compared to the newer 2002, etc. engines.<br /><br />I have just gotten what I feel is a good deal on a leftover 2001 unit, new in the box with a factory warranty, new SS performance Prop and free shipping @ $4500. <br /><br />I would really like to know the differences in this one, as I have heard it is easy to convert the newer years from 50HP to 60HP.<br /><br />Appreciate any information and/or websites that have this kind of data.<br /><br />dmr
