Merc 20hp and 25hp interchangeable parts?

I have a 1980 20hp blueband mercury 2 stroke...good powerhead, bad lower unit and exhaust housing.<br />I can get hold of a 1980 25hp blueband merc 2 stroke...bad powerhead, good lower unit and exhaust housing.<br />If I take the powerhead off the 20hp, will it slot into the 25hp engine? Or is this just wishful thinking?<br />Serial No. of 20hp is 5412401<br />Serial No. of 25hp is unknown

The 20 and 25 are two entirely different motors. About the only things interchangeable are the drain plugs...<br />- Scott
