Hi..last week I replaced coil from number 6 cylinder and now it is running on all 6...but sometimes when cold it is extremely hard to start and when it does fire it smokes really bad for a while. After it starts, when free throttling it at higher rpms the oil alrm will sound for just a sec. Power seems ok once the boat gets going, but it doesn't have the clean snap anymore for pulling up a skier. As I told you in a earlier post, the foam sound deadener in my engine cover came loose and the flywheel, alternator made a fine foam mist out of it..think any got in the carbs? Is the oil injection feeding too much oil? Motor is a 94 225....thx all....John

It will smoke bad for a while if it is hard to start as the more you are cranking it, the more oil is being pushed in, when it fires it has to burn it all off.
