Merc 25 Bigfoot $ stroke spark plug wiring

Does it really matter what wire coming off coil goes to the spark plug? I mean does it matter if they are crossed?

did for mine...changed the plugs and mixed up the wires, pulled my guts out for 10 mins, then decided to switch them, fired right up

have you gotten this fixed? if not, was this motor always working in the past, or is it new to you and your trying to get it going? are you sure youve got spark?
