If the block has Mercosil cast into top of it, it can be bored. If not ist a chrome bore and not worth the effort to repair as easier to find a good block

for the price of an over-bore, I would find another running $200 outboard.

Mabey mabey not you have a chrome bore motor. IF the chrome is good you may get away with replacing the piston. Boring is not an option.

In the second picture i know it’s not the best but it shows a little chunk that got taken off or scraped do you think if I replaced the piston something that small wouldn’t really matter? Thanks again guys for your input

If the chrome is chipped either rechrome or a different powerhead. Your only 2 options
