Merc 25 water pressure gauge?

I have a '81 (I think) model 25hp Mercury. S/N# 6015955. I would like to add a water pressure gauge so that I don't have to constantly look over my shoulder to check the pisser. <br /><br />The only fitting I can find to tie a line into is the elbow fitting that goes directly to the pisser. <br /><br />Can I replace the elbow with a "T" and connect the pisser on one side and the pressure gauge on the other?<br /><br />THANKS!

Thatll work, but what ive found is that some times ya have to put a zip tie towards the end of the pisser, to create enough back pressure to run the gauge. the tighter the zip tie, the more pressure your goona show on the gauge. try to find a happy medium.
