merc 260 exhaust bellows

Hello, me again. 1978 galaxie 22xl with merc 260 drive.

If I want to replace the exhaust bellows, want to just take the precaution pre-season, do I just pull the trim rams, the six bolts, remove outdrive and replace?

If i don't remove the housing, I don't need to re-align do I?

Are there any other seals that I should replace while I have outdrive off?

Go to the top of the forum " Adults only " Pull down the manual and d/l it.

Yes you have to align it, 50 bucks for the bar on e-bay,and a new gasket 10-15 bucks plus the boot kit do em all. Grease the splines.

Check the u-joint the gimbel bearing, while your in there.
