I have 260 and she Overheats when she moves. If sitting at idle or just above she does perfect, but once you start going she starts rising temps. I believe the drive impeller is new, and I just changed out the thermostat. Should I look next at the water pump on this? I looked for one on the starboard side, but didn't notice one.....would that be normal or did I just not look well enough?

I had looked around at different articles about pumps/impellers, my boat has a closed cooling system. Would it have an additional water pump? If it did, roughly where would it be, are they pulley driven?

If your drive(s) is/are bravos, then you will have a crank driven water pump. However most likely they are
Alpha drives have the pumps in the lower unit

Closed cooling with heat exchangers and a half system with alpha drives would still use the in-drive pumps. Closed cooling with full systems could have a crank driven pump if the heat exhchangers are mercruiser factory, and may have either in leg pump or crank driven if the heat exchangers are aftermarket.

Instead of reading and guessing, take a look

That was my point in asking......where should I be looking, are they belt driven, or are they off to side? If they are belt driven I don't believe I have one because I dont remember seeing one.
