I have a 52' Stardust Cruiser houseboat. It has a 270 HP Mercruiser. (350).this is the first set up like this I've been around,it has a hydraulic transmission that is mounted between the engine and sterndrive.Great package, but the rear seal on the trans. housing is leaking.Anyone know of a repair without having to haul the boat ot of the water??Thanks Delta Breeze

You dont see a 270hp much. Must be about a 1972 model? Is this a straight inboard or that BIG inboard outboard? Any way your going to have to pull it out of the water. Or find a way to pull the engine to remove the tranny. Id personally try to move the engine forward if you have the room. Make a make shift tri-pod to lift the engine. Borg Warner tranny?

Where you at in Alabama? Looks like you do what I do? (TOI)
