Hello Good people,

I have developed a new problem with my boat. It will not go past 2,300 RPMs. My boat is a 20 Seasport Cuddy with 3.0 Merc with Alpha One outdrive. Yesterday i was on the water and could go past 2,300 rpms. At half throttle the engines sounds good and moves ok. If I push it past half point, i can hear the engine making sound as if its reving up, but in fact the rpms go down to 2,000 and never pick any speed. Also the wheel its pulling left which didnt happen in the past. I checked the prop which seem to be fine except for a few small chips and a small bent aprox 1 inch on one wing. Can anyone guess what could be the issue? Thank you very much.

Hello
Could someone tell what might cause the steering weel to pull left?

Hi,

My boats does not have cavitation plates. I have trim tabs. I tried to pick up speed with the tabs in all position to no avail. The boat just kicks a storm behind. Any other suggestions why the boat is pulling left and cannot pick up speed? What is the proper prop size/pitch for a 20 foot boat with a cuddy and mercruiser 3.0 with alpha one outdrive? Thank you.

the trim tab to adjust sits just above the propellor

looks like an inverted shark fin

however - - does you boat have power steering?

in which case you won't have the tab - and ignore me :D
