merc 3.0l carb jets

i have a 135 hp 3.0l with a mercarb two barrel , can i replace the 1.45mm jets in the carb with a bigger jet say 1.50mm or 1.60 mm for increased power. also how is the float level set in this carb.

Ayuh,...

Increasing the Jet size will probably Increase the Fuel Burn, but Not the Horsepower....

135 is all your gonna get from that motor, need more hp buy a different boat with a bigger motor.

And most likely have it run like carp because the carb is running too rich.
