merc. 3.0l pulls to left until on plane

i have an 18' bowrider with a 3.0l mercruiser with alpha one outdrive, had problems pulling to left and moved trim tab to slightly off center towards that side. the boat is much better but still pulls left getting on a plane once i trim it on out on a plane it runs straight , if i move it more will it fix this or is it always gonna do that getting on plane

You will need to experiment by trial & error.....
My guess would be that it will all ways pull a little, especially without power steering....​

If I'm not mistaken, If you have an dog leash shut off switch triming it straight should be ok. If not a slight pull is good! ..ie by yourself in boat at full thottle and fall out, boat will go in circles. Probably most newer boats have these shut off doo dads. Just a thought!

Ayuh,....

That might be the Key, Right there,......

Get onto the Trim Button quicker,....
If the bow is plowing before it breaks over onto plane,....
That might be the pull your getting.....

When you adjust the torque tab next time,.... Move it from Stop to Stop,.... It's not that far..... Sometimes they Need to be maxed out....
But,.....
Quicker Trimming might help Alot..........

also, i believe yer supposed to set the trim tab for zero feedback at yer most common speed and trim. after its set. that's it. all other speeds and trims will not result in the zero feedback feel as those speeds and trim are not where the tab is set for...........

Well Now

Take that stingray foil off your taking about in the prop forum and it pull a LOT LOT less

I have used one and it makes the boat pull really hard left and REALLY hard to turn RIGHT

But the people at STINGRAY FOILS told me it was good!!!!

all single engine boats pull to the left to some degree.....
Like Bondo said... swing the tourqe tab all the way over and see how it does.
