Merc 4.3 h2o alarm sender test?

Can you just ground the wire to the block? and see if buzzer sounds?

can you check the ohm reading on sender?

Yes, grounding the wire should sound the alarm.
They are not a sender like a gauge sender, they are a switch. Either opened or closed. When they sense overheat, they close the circuit to ground.
