My son has 03 SeaArk 1652 with 40 2 stroke.This is his 3rd season with it,it looked like almost new.He changed grease all 3 seasons,never milky or low,but this spring he went with Amsol lower unit lube.2 times ago he said it lost a bit of power,thought it was a slight carb issue.This time he took it out it locked up.He heard nasty steel clank sounts.Black trash in drain hole.Motor locked up.He took lower off,drive shaft is fine,engine is fine. Any suggestions as to his best option for a replacement lower?He saw a new Merc unit for $1700.He also said was same unit for up to 55HP.Many Thanks,Dizz
