I have a mercury blueband 40hp outboard. Twin cylinder, serial no. 9251545

What is the difference between BUHW and BUHW-2
Ive looked at an NGK symbol chart to try and work out but can't find out.

Also, if I remove the carb to clean, will I need to re-sync the timing when I put it back in. All I want to do is clean the jets.

Thanks

The -2 plugs are a slightly hotter plug, the 2 compare with a L76V and a L78V, on surface gap plugs that is done by increasing the interior gap slightly to increase the voltage at the tip.
