A buddy of mine has a 40hp twin model 402. Visually, I put it at 1971 - 1972. (3406535)

My question is if the 402 EVER came with a power-trim? OR if the trims from the later 4 cylinder 40-45 hp Mercs will directly bolt up to the leg?

I'm not real fast on the nuances of these little critters. Anyone know off the top??

-W

Re: Merc 402 Question

ACK.... I've had a couple guys tell me that can't be done. Are you sure the legs measure up the same to the 4 rubber "dynafloat" mounts?

-W

Re: Merc 402 Question

Clams, I have not done one myself, but I guess you could tell checking the center section part numbers in the parts book, I would think they are they use the lower unit--Bob
