Well I left the tray with the above parts in my garage and it got tipped.

No way of knowing what was where.

Refit or other options please ?

pushrods and rockers dont care

lifters need to go back to the cam lobes they were on.

or you need to replace with new, then go thru a cam/lifter break in

The pushrods DO care. Valve lash on a 470 is set by pushrod length. Lay out all the pushrods side by side. If they are all the same length THEN they don’t care. If some are different length then you need to measure the valve lash (Merc manual #8). Your local Ford dealer may be able to help, as the Ford 460 uses the same pushrods. I don’t think the rockers care.

Thanks guys, I think I'm in a pickle then.

I'll set them out and measure tomorrow but another thing is that the head has been skimmed too and I dont know how much was milled off to flatten it.

How do I stand in consideration of the above ?

I'm in the UK and we dont have those kind of ford dealers so pretty much on my own with this.

Rockers do care. They need to be refaced now.
