Merc 5.7 alpha 1 question

Well have a 87' the question is my outdrive was worked on last season now boat is alot slower. Have the same prop and nothing has changed, don't hear and different noises or anything else does anyone have any suggestions what is the problem.

One, is the boat kept in the water or on a trailer? if kept in a slip, pull it and clean the bottom.
You said slower. is that at all RPM? do you use the drive to trim onto plane? is the bow riding high? did you check to see if you are not dragging anything. Lastly, you said that you had the drive worked on, when was the last tune-up. RPM does not alway mean torque.

Ayuh,... Sounds like it's Down on Power,....
How long ago was it given a Full Tune Up,+ Service,..??

What work was done on the drive?

Are you running the same RPM at WOT? It could be as simple as the speedo is off.

Are your speeds gps?

Thanks, well the drive was rebulit new bearings and shimmed, the engine was recently tuned.
