Hi there. I'm looking on ebay for a genuine Mercury Service manual for my
50 Merc serial no. 6097907 aprox. 1982.

Does anyone know the Mercury part no. / volume no. for this manual?

I've already bought 1 wrong one and don't want to repeat that.

The newest service manual part number made for your engine is part number 90-861355
It covers engine models 45 & 50 H.P. (4 cylinder) / 50 & 60 H.P.(3 cylinder, 2 Carburetors). It covers engine serial numbers that where made in the USA, 4576237 and up.

And 70 H.P. (cylinder,2 Carburetors). Engine serial numbers (USA #) 4571652 - 6428681

By the way your engine is a 1980 MERCURY 50 ELPT.

And the mercury factory is showing they have 7 service manuals left in stock for a dealer to order one up for you. Hope this helps, Good luck with it.
