I can't seem to get it going. Here is what I have and what I have done.
S/N 4283897
Rebuilt carbs set the mixture screws at 1 turn I have tried more and less on screw but it doesn't help
compression is good all cylinders
New fuel lines
TDC is correct
Dist timing is correct (per small arrow under plate)
new plugs
wiring check on Red to white 442 ohms blue to white 11 ohms
Ok the motor will start if I disconnect the fast idle timing advance cable and maniulate it with one hand hand while I work the carb buterflies with the other hand.
I have to have 20 to 24 degrees of timing and it will not idle down without dying. I have moved the dist timing 1 tooth each way to try to get it to idle .
It should start at 8 to 10 degress of timing but it will only try.
Any ideas to what I am doing wrong??
