Repowering my Duracraft 1860 side console. Aluminum all weld with factory floor and side skins. Duracraft rates this hull at 50hp without the skins and extra floatation and at 120 hp with skins floor and extra floatation. weight difference could not be over a couple hundred pounds. I have had several 2 strokes motors on this hull, 90mariner, 112 johnson, 115 merc. 90 mariner was strong, as was the 112 johnson, and the merc 115 well was a killer. now my fishing and use preference says go down to a 60 EFI merc 4 stroke. Big foot vs regular foot. what do you think the running performance difference would be between the two, getting on plane , cruising , wot ?? anyone have experience to lend me?

The Bigfoot is intended for heavy boats and low speeds.

At the higher speeds available on light boats the big gearcase adds drag.
