merc 60 high speed miss

I have 60 merc 3 cyc.runs fine until wot then it has a slight miss. Clean and check carbs 3 times.rebuild fuel pump.motor is not losing fire pulled wires while running each cyc drops.not to sure about carb air adjustment got it about 1 and half turns out. The air jet and the main jet one hole is bigger than the other should the one jet with the big hole goes for the air or in the carb bowl might have that wrong not sure.i change pack and i change the stator i have about $1500 into motor still dont run right almost have more money into it than the motor is worth.not sure of year think it is 90 or 91.dont no what else to do any help please

check the trigger when it happens - dont just do the ohms test - check the voltage even at just idle with a regular multimeter if thats all you have - you dont need dva to check this one .
