merc 650 losing oil....

Howdy folks,
Last time I ran my Bomber with a 650 I discovered the water pump was gone and it needed a carb rebuild. Now I noticed oil leaking down the motor. It's coming from under the cover and running down to the foot. It looks like it did it briefly though. What's causing this?

Also, it has no power trim and it's all I can do to get the motor to move up and down, it's extremely stiff. New shocks needed?

What year 650, as far as the leak if could be a seal, bleed line or a drippy carb washing engine crud down open the cowl and look

its a 73 model. Are the shocks gone? is that why it's stuck and hard as hell to move the motor?
