Merc 7.5 outboard.. model 1007522

I have this outboard that I am trying to get running. I attached a brand new battery to the motor, through the gear in neutral, and push the start button...but nothing.<br /><br />I dont get anything. No motor trying to turn over, not even a glimps of hope that its excepting the charge. <br /><br />What parts should I replace? I couldnt get lucky enough to turn a screw and get it to run. <br /><br />Please help

So following the great FAQ, it seems as though my starter is fried like Kentucky. However, it seems as though the part is no longer made. <br /><br />The motor does have a pull start as well, however it seems as though the cable is locked? Any gear I put the outboard on the cable doesnt want to pull. How do I fix this problem?
