Merc 7.5 Ser #6546612 - What year is it?

I came into possession of a Merc 7.5 hp short shaft. The serial number is 6546612. I need to know what year it is so I can get the correct repair manual for it. Also, do any of you have a suggestion for which repair manual I should get and where I should order it from? Thanks in advance.
