I have a 1980 70 hp mercury thats having problems. At the begining of the season I replaced the board, wires and plugs and it was running great until now. Currently the idle is randomly rough almost like there is a misfire or a bog once and a while. The motor stalled on my 2x at idle last time i was on the water. The motor then doesnt want to start back up unless i give it some throttle advance. Fuel is non-ethanol, mid grade, and mixed properly. I added sea foam to the tank just to make sure there is no water or persperation in the fuel (the fuel is fresh). Also the idle is adjusted properly and it was timed properly at the begining of the season. Obviously fuel or spark is most likely the problem. Suggestions?
