i just bought boat ,motor idles great but throttle lever moves spark advance but not carbs

Obviously the carb linkage isn't hooked up to the rest of the linkage.
A full SN or a year would help

ser# is od013317 i have looked at repair manuels and none show link between throttle cam and actuator
motor belived to be 1990-1991 i bought it from original owner boat is 1991 motor has not been ran in 2 years

Here are some numbers to keep handy for when you want parts. It IS a 1990 SN 0D013317 Model No. 1075412LD MERCURY 75 ELPTO

I think if you get the OEM Merc service manual and not an aftermarket, you will find several pictures of the linkage and detailed explanations on how to do a proper Sync-N-Link to get it all working properly. It takes several pages of pictures to fully understand where all the pieces of linkage goes exactly. Which is why I didn't just post a picture to show you.
