Just got finished rewiring a late 70's model mercury 850 with distributorless ignition. Boat has not been ran in 3yrs so took the carbs apart, cleaned and checked everything. The boat runs good idling, but if I don't idle it kind of high whenever I put it in gear it will die. Idling a little high it almost dies but picks back up. Now after that it is fine. It runs great once it catches back up. I adjusted the carbs how it said on here, even tried going out with the screws a little more, still same thing. Could this be plugs? It has the perma gap. Thanks for any advice
