I have a 1986 175 but i don't know about the reeds. I sprayed deep creep in my carbs and know it misses out when I push the throttle forward. It clears up at full throttle. Any idea what causes this? DN

Yea, I'm here, but I'm not sure I can help you.. Let me take a look at my motor and I'll see if I can help you...

Also, take a look at this site and using your SNumber for your engine you can look different parts of the engine and take a look at schematics of it....

Here it is...

http://www.dougrussell.com/partscatalog/collections/index.cfm?fuseaction=collectdetails&colid=01

I hope this helps...

If you want, I can scan the "bleed line routing" page out of the tech manual & send it to you via e-mail. It will have to be on Tuesday as my home scanner is down & I'll have to use the on at the shop & were closed Mondays.
Also I'll need to know if it's a five or six line system, the only difference will be the five line system does not have a fitting at the #5 cylinder.

Thanks guys, mine is a 5 hose which makes me wonder how important they are if cyl 3 doesn't need one. Heres how mine is now:
1 reed to jug 4
2 reed to jug 5
3 reed to jug 6
4 reed to jug 1
5 reed to jug 2
