I have a 1996 Mercury 200 EFI mounted on a Gambler Intimidator. I relocated a year ago and stored the boat in my father's basement for a month, unfortunately a month turned into a year. I did not do any type of winterization/storage procedures before storing it. The baot is located in middle GA so there is no worry of freezing temps only the fact it has been sitting for a year. What should I do before attempting to start it for the first time?

Thanks!
Jim

Best bet would be to change the gear oil, and run fresh fuel through it, and probally will need to change the plugs. Up here, we pull our outboards off, leave them in a heated garage and they are good to go next year, no winterizing required. The old Johnson is over 20 years old, never winterized and still works great

Belchy
